Recommended Safety Guidelines

To get the most use out of your candle while maintaining personal safety, please review the following guidelines:

• Never leave a burning candle unattended! Be sure to extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep.
• Follow the 2-foot rule. Don't place a burning candle near clothing, books, curtains, or anything flammable, and maintain at least 2 feet between your candle and any other flammable items.
• Keep lit candles away from drafts, ceiling fans, and any air currents. These can not only redirect the flame but will also result in an uneven burn that will minimize the life of the candle.
• Extinguish a candle if the flame gets too close to the candle holder or container.
• Place burning candles at least 6 inches apart from one another.
• A burning candle should not be used as a nightlight.
